The Pakistani Army has announced an increase in terrorist incidents originating from Afghan territory.
On Wednesday, the army stated in a press release, "Terrorists from Afghanistan attempt to infiltrate through the Pak-Afghan border and target security forces as well as the innocent civilians.”
The press release from Pakistan Army's Inter-Service Public Relations, issued on Wednesday, disclosed that Pakistani security forces conducted an operation in the Sambaza area of Zhob district in Balochistan since April 21, resulting in the deaths of 29 terrorists.
The announcement also mentioned the death of a Pakistani military officer named Babar Khan during operations on May 14. The Pakistani Army has repeatedly urged the Taliban to better manage their borders.
Previously, the Pakistani government has accused the Afghan Taliban of providing sanctuary to members of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan within Afghanistan. Taliban officials have consistently denied these claims, asserting that they do not allow any group to use Afghan soil to threaten the security of other countries.
