Residents of Badakhshan have reported that following an attack on a Taliban military convoy, the situation is tense in Faizabad city.

According to sources, at least six Taliban members were killed and 14 others were injured in the explosion.

Sources in Badakhshan have informed Afghanistan International that Taliban forces in Faizabad city have implemented strict security measures and even prevented people from clicking photos and videos at the explosion site.

A resident of Faizabad mentioned that Taliban forces have blocked off the area of the explosion and are not allowing people to leave their homes.

Sources from Badakhshan have sent images of a destroyed Taliban military vehicle to Afghanistan International, reportedly damaged in this explosion.

According to locals, in the explosion on Wednesday afternoon, anti-drug forces affiliated with the Taliban's Ministry of Interior were targeted.

So far, no group has claimed responsibility for this explosion, and Taliban officials have not officially commented on the matter yet.
